Founder Biography – Erik Fisher
Erik Fisher is a veteran law-enforcement leader who has spent years investigating, reviewing, and teaching critical-incident investigation techniques and use-of-force decision-making. Over the course of his career, he filled leadership roles and assumed responsibility for critical-incident investigations, multi-agency coordination, and internal review processes. Erik has trained leaders at every level — from detectives to executive staff — in investigative standards, documentation quality, force evaluation, leadership responsibility, and professional ethics. His approach is calm, fair, and grounded in both operational reality and respect for the people involved. Today, he serves agencies and justice partners as a neutral and principled consultant — helping organizations improve practice, strengthen leadership, and evaluate critical events with integrity and clarity.
About the FCG Logo
The Fisher Consulting Group logo is intentionally symbolic, restrained, and grounded in principles that reflect the nature of our work.
At its core, the logo brings together three enduring elements: the oak tree, the gargoyle, and the granite pedestal.
The oak tree represents stability, longevity, and deeply rooted ethics. Oaks grow slowly, withstand harsh conditions, and endure over time—qualities that mirror our commitment to careful analysis, principled decision-making, and long-term institutional integrity. The visible roots reinforce the idea that sound conclusions must be grounded in facts, standards, and context rather than emotion or assumption.
The gargoyle serves as a watchful guardian. Historically positioned as sentinels on civic and judicial structures, gargoyles symbolize vigilance, protection, and the responsibility to observe carefully before acting. In the context of Fisher Consulting Group, the gargoyle represents impartial oversight, attentiveness to detail, and the obligation to safeguard fairness in high-stakes evaluations.
The gargoyle is seated upon a granite pedestal, a deliberate reference to the firm foundation on which objective evaluation must rest. Granite signifies permanence, weight, and resistance to erosion—qualities that reflect the role of established law, policy, training, and professional standards in use-of-force analysis and leadership decision-making. The pedestal grounds vigilance in structure, underscoring that observation alone is insufficient; judgment must be anchored to durable frameworks rather than shifting perspectives or external pressure.
Together, these elements convey a unified message: strength without aggression, authority without bias, and vigilance guided by integrity.
